Mr. Nelson’s clarification was very thorough, but he did make one questionable point: that “disregard of a Supreme Court decision would present a constitutional crisis, and the American people would be unlikely to tolerate such an action by the President.”

Trump’s blatant criminality didn’t stop him from being elected, and after his election he did thumb his nose at the Supreme Court in the Abrego Garcia case – yet his approval rating remains at 46.4%. It isn’t a majority of the American people, but it’s enough to keep the Republicans groveling before him. I think they like being led by a crime boss. They don’t idolize him in spite of his lawlessness, but because of it.

47 is following the rules. If he doesn't, anti Trumpers can take him to court. Until litigation results in a ruling noone can say he broke the law. Remember, you have been shouting due process for a long time. When it is our due p

What a crock. Dismantling programs and agencies established by Congress is not "following the rules." Trying to illegally overturn election results he didn't like is not "following the rules. Democrats would love to give him due process as he's held accountable for his crimes, but Republicans wouldn't allow it.

Well, I tried over 100+- criminal jury cases in my youth. Why did we have a trial? Due Process requires evidence to be presented and a ruling whether a person acted unlawfully. Then consequences. With 47 you just want to skip the tribunal. 😊 IMHO

No, we want him tried in court for the crimes listed in the felony indictments against him. Instead, the Republican SCOTUS ruled him above the law and Trump's chumps did the rest.

PS: This is just one headline that illustrates his scam mentality:

TRUMP’S SECRET SERVICE DETAIL TO PAY $600K FOR GOLF CARS AND PORT-A-POTTIES TO USE AT HIS NEW JERSEY CLUB

But that's just his everyday criminality. His true malevolence is revealed by such acts as his gutting of USAID.

How convenient that the Supreme Court ruled against nationwide injunctions, after Republicans sought and got over 25 against Biden. Yeah, Lynn, I know, the Democrats should have filed! Let's really gum up the judicial system.

Good conversation. Our system is well suited to resolving disputes. Use the system. Lose some win some. Dems well know how to use the system against President Trump.

You must be delighted to have the SCOTUS decide that authoritarian rule by executive edict can at least be temporarily implemented. :(
