Mr. Nelson’s clarification was very thorough, but he did make one questionable point: that “disregard of a Supreme Court decision would present a constitutional crisis, and the American people would be unlikely to tolerate such an action by the President.”

Trump’s blatant criminality didn’t stop him from being elected, and after his election he did thumb his nose at the Supreme Court in the Abrego Garcia case – yet his approval rating remains at 46.4%. It isn’t a majority of the American people, but it’s enough to keep the Republicans groveling before him. I think they like being led by a crime boss. They don’t idolize him in spite of his lawlessness, but because of it.

How convenient that the Supreme Court ruled against nationwide injunctions, after Republicans sought and got over 25 against Biden. Yeah, Lynn, I know, the Democrats should have filed! Let's really gum up the judicial system.
