3. Some version of the Nixon-Wang-Alaska citizen benefit. We bail out banks and auto companies and airlines when they lived high and spent all their money, but then crashed and needed bailouts. They were improvident but hot bailed out. Citizenship, as an earned inclusion, brings a modest income, available to everyone, rich and poor. Won’t it make people lazy??? Won’t bailing out banks, brokerages, insurance companies, auto companies, airlines, and defense contractors make them lazy?
