I've long viewed the David/Goliath battle as between youth and technology (the sling) vs old-school crude and clumsy power. Today's Republican Party hates the new, the disruptive, the unfamiliar (EVs, wind, solar, IVF, uppity women, etc. along with the Age of Reason). They see that "the times, they are a-changin" but they refuse to "start swimmin" and I pray that they will sink like a stone.

Biden is the most successfully progressive president since FDR. It's a crying shame that he is now so visibly old and that Harris appears (falsely) that she is ineffectual.

You are right about the stakes in this debate (and the next, should it happen).

Everything is on the table.

Couldn't disagree with you more. David was representing an oppressed people. As for strong leaders, I don't want the literal "strongman". FDR was in a W/C but that didn't make him weak. The maga party candidate is clearly demented & will be even more dangerous if elected again. He continues his treasonous coup that he began Jan 6th with so many supporters of insurrection within our own government. We are not oppressed in this country, unless the felon gets elected...
