As a grandmother to a headstrong granddaughter, I can tell you that she would react just like I did to so called rethinking of feminism. Look. I was the sole wage earner in my family. Stepdad stayed at home to parent while I worked. My two daughters became amazing professional women and also great mothers. This movement to drag women back to the 50s ethos is so obviously toxic, at least to me and my family, that I hope young women and men can see it for what it is.

Wow! Everyday it gets worse. I open my iPad and MAGA is doing some new egregious thing to drive our society back to the dark ages. Now it’s Jennifer Angelo showing us their misogyny and open prejudice, then I read the state department is ceasing all pro-democracy programs throughout the world. OMGGOPWTF!

There are a lot of knuckle-draggers out there who like their women subservient. According to them, that’s the way it’s supposed to be – it says so right in the Bible. They used the Bible to justify slavery too. I suspect they have about as much chance of enticing women back to the “good ol’ days” as they do of luring Blacks back to the plantations.

But let’s not kid ourselves. The real reason so-called conservatives are clamoring for more white babies is they’re in a panic over their Great Replacement conspiracy theory. What a bunch of losers – intimidated by women with minds of their own.

When I first read this I was angry, definitely appalled. Living on the West Coast, I forget how many misogynists and sexist Americans are part of our great country. I have three beautiful daughters who are all professionals, smart, kind and good Mothers. My son-in-laws all appreciate and respect them for their intellect and working skills, and co-parent and share household chores. Equality! How it should be! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!

I had mixed feelings when I read this. I stayed home with my kids (for 16 years) until my youngest was 11 and then returned to work. I am so happy I was able to raise my own children (yes, I have some post graduate education) instead of stuffing them in a daycare. My daughters are educated professional young women, but when they marry and have kids, they would also like to raise their own children. What child would rather be raised in a daycare instead of learning from his/her own mom? Women have tough choices to make and I certainly feel for the single moms out their who don’t get to have a choice…..

Great guest post. Thank you.

There are few things better for the advancement of civilization and the survival of our species than are the education and empowerment of women and girls. Color me an ardent feminist.

Kirk is of the Kinky Friedman (died July 3 last year) "Get Your Biscuits in the Oven and Your Buns into Bed" school of gender politics. (I enjoy Kinky's music and novels, but despise a lot about him; Kirk lacks redeeming values.) (https://www.kinkyfriedman.com/)

It's good to hear that feminists still identify as such. Most of us assumed none existed especially in light of that 14 year old girl may also want to compete in girls sports. Feminists have not been seen advocating keeping boys out of girls sports, bathrooms, locker rooms etc. Riley Gaines had to suffer through the idiocy and became the amazing feminist supporter.

Charlie Kirk has built an amazing conservative organization. Most highly educated feminists would have their hands full debating the lowly educated Kirk on any topic chosen by them. Go to one of his rallies, get to the Mike and see how it goes. Or, just bash conservatives in these one sided venues.

Charlie Kirk is obviously bright and a good debater. I was stunned when Gavin Newsom had Charlie on his show and Gavin admitted to Charlie that having biological boys compete against girls is “deeply unfair.” Of course Gavin, as governor, has done nothing more to advocate for girls, but at least admitting it is a first step.
