When I spoke to Peter, he asked if México has a drug problem. The simple answer is that Mexicans can’t afford cocaine, fentanyl, or meth. It’s the affluent Americans who buy drugs. Additionally, cartel drugs are usually smuggled into the United States by Americans. Undocumented aliens crossing into the U.S. do not make reliable drug mules and it is much easier to move drugs via the 97% of cargo that moves unchecked across the border.

Report from Conde Nast (not a Trump-free comment)

Just to be fair and balanced: A number of countries have issued warnings about travel to the U.S. including Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, China, Australia and New Zealand. They’re concerned about our nation’s obsession with guns and propensity for gun violence, but they also have legitimate fear of ICE and Trump’s concentration camps. This has resulted in a significant decrease in international travel to the U.S. which is costing us billions and is known as the “Trump slump.”
