Take a moment to laugh.
Cunk on Earth is a mockumentary.
The show features Philomena Cunk, a journalist attempting to explain the world to viewers. It is available on Netflix. Clips are available on YouTube if one enters the search term "Professor Cunk."
She asks absurd questions of real historians and scientists, playing it straight and earnest. They are baffled. She is both misinformed and dead certain. The part is written by British humorist Charlie Brooker and the part is played by British actress Diane Morgan.
She asked a scholar of Egypt:
"When they built the pyramids, did they start at the top and work down, or did they start at the bottom and work up?
Here is a brief clip:
And this clip, with the question,
"When you teach a kid Shakespeare, do their heads grow physically bigger?"
We watched this series last week - loved it.
I was so impressed at the depth of Philomena's questions. When you don't understand the question it is impossible to answer.
