I look forward to hearing Tony’s take on the speech, since Trump is doing for the nation what he did for Trump Steaks. Meanwhile, David Rothkopf provided a mercifully brief synopsis, in which he pointed out that in spite of Trump’s lies to the contrary: “The economy still stinks. America is a laughing stock worldwide. Healthcare costs are about to skyrocket for tens of millions of Americans. We have chaos in our streets thanks to the roving bands of Stephen Miller’s gestapo. Melania still hates Christmas. And our angry Santa in the White House ain’t getting any younger. Or saner. Definitely not any saner.”
I thank United States Magistrate Judge Marke D. Clarke for his clarity and precision. I thank Mark and Michael Wisnovsky and their counsel for playing by the rules and unmasking this fraud. All players in our judicial system should strive to meet these examples. How many parties are bullied away or priced out when confronted with such lazy, shameless "lawyering"?
Fascinating. A number of the Trump administration's documents appear to have been generated by hallucinating AIs. They've been prominent in RFK Jr.'s worm-addled maladministration, and among Trump's legal/illegal team.
I went on a fool's errand a couple of days ago, trying to get an AI to stop insisting that $50 per megawatt hour was half a cent per KWH--an order of magnitude error. I learned in psychiatry that delusions and hallucinations are tough to break. I'm sure that engineers are working on mind-glue for our robot overlords, but until there is a good anti-psychotic for Hal, we all need to beware.
Thanks for the warning!
(It occurs to me that AI has read virtually everything. So maybe it has taken to heart Dick the Butcher's line, "The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers," and concluded precisely the opposite of what Shakespeare intended.)
Your comment suggests this assault on our judicial system was fueled by AI or robots. The fault rests with lazy, unethical humans, including a 13-year Jack In The Box lawyer from San Diego supposedly handling this out-of-state case for free. Smells quite fishy.
I didn't mean to suggest at all that the assault on our judicial system and our health care system was done *because* of AI, but that flawed AI was used by malevolent. lazy, and naturally stupid people.
It isn't just attorneys. I've found several questions regarding taxes that are categorically wrong. For example I ask Google AI if 529 college savings plans are counted as assets when calculating the Oregon estate tax. (they aren't). AI 's answer was that Oregon had no estate tax.
